Heavy Putter™ Outperforms Competition in Scientific Test

Most Lopsided Victory Ever in Rankmark-Max Out Golf Labs Collaberation

(SOUTH SALEM, New York) - The new Heavy Putter™ - weighing 90 percent more than standard putters - handily outperformed 17 competing putter brands in a recent series of scientific tests conducted by Rankmark and Max Out Golf Labs.

In finishing first, the Heavy Putter™ B-3 model - featuring a mallet-style head with a heel-mounted double-bend shaft - bested the nearest competitor putter by nearly a 25-percent margin. It scored a perfect 30 in the "straight putts" category and also won the "right to left" and "left to right" tests with scores of 28 and 26, respectively. In many categories, the Heavy Putter™ scores are double many brand-name putters.

The Heavy Putter™ produces "outstanding roll characteristics, even on off-center contact. If you are handsy or fight the yips, this putter will change and improve your stroke. The B-3 is the clear winner on our proprietary testing and had no weaknesses," says Mitch Voges, Director of Max Out Golf Labs (Sherman Oaks, CA) and a former U.S. Amateur champion who utilizes proprietary, state-of-the-art computer technology to analyze "what makes one golf club better than another."

The standard Heavy Putter™ total weight of 885 grams (roughly two pounds) - the heaviest among U.S.G.A-conforming putters - whereas conventional putters average 490 grams (roughly one pound). A heavy-mass putter head and an unprecedented Weight Management SystemTM, consisting of a heavy upper-shaft insert and interchangeable tip weights, create a balance point 75 percent higher than conventional putters.

The tests' overwhelming preference for the Heavy Putter™ represents the most lopsided victory of any product in the history of the Rankmark-Max Out Golf Labs collaboration, says Charles Mandel, Chief Executive Officer of Rankmark (Tarpon Springs, FL), which is known as "the Consumer Reports of the golf industry" for conducting independent and objective surveys of golf products and reporting findings to the public.

Mandel says the story about the Heavy Putter's serendipitous timing and ensuing test success makes him chuckle:

"Just to confuse things more, another new club called the Heavy Putter™ showed up and wanted to be included. I tried it for fun and couldn't miss a short putt, so we moved it along to our final series of tests," he says.

The Rankmark-Max Out Golf results represent the second consecutive independent test that favors the Heavy Putter. Last month, the industry-accepted Super SAM Putting Analysis machine at the Hank Haney Ranch in McKinney, Texas concluded the Heavy Putter™ shows superior control of distance, velocity and direction over other putter brands.

"The test results scientifically validate why golfers are switching to the Heavy Putter," says Stephen Boccieri, inventor of the Heavy Putter™ and a golf-equipment veteran who previously worked in shaft profiling with PGA TOUR players. "We spent years studying the relationship between putters and physics, and, thanks to fewer putts per round, golfers are swearing by our better performing line of putters."

The popularity of the Heavy Putter™ is extremely high following its launch at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida in late January. The Heavy Putter™ received critical acclaim for its innovation from representatives of Sports Illustrated, USA Today, U.S. News & World Report, Robb Report, Popular Science, The Golf Channel, all major, national golf magazines, regional golf media and Top 25 daily newspapers. In addition, the Heavy Putter™ has achieved immediate acceptance on the PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours.

In addition to the B-3 model, other Heavy Putter™ models include:

A3 - blade-style head with a heel mounted, double-bend shaft configuration

B1 - mallet-style head with a center-mounted shaft

Various standard, mid- and long-putter lengths are available for men and women in both right- and left-handed models. MSRP is from $259. Contact: 888-PUTTER4,,

Three additional models are planned for production later this year.

The Heavy Putter™ represents a radical step in putter concept, design and technology, and is touted by professional golfers, industry executives and media as the first new putter in decades that can revolutionize golf. They liken it to the paradigm shift that occurred with the advent of electric golf carts, metal woods, the Prince tennis racket and parabolic skis - innovations that changed how a sport is played.

More About The Heavy Putter
Heavy Putter, L.L.C., based in South Salem, NY, incorporates the highest-quality, advanced-design principles in all putters:

Made with 303 Stainless Steel, a very soft metal that creates a soft putting feel

Perimeter heel-to-toe weighting - creating a high Moment of Inertia, a scientific trend popular in today's putter designs - resists twisting, producing straighter, more accurate putts that reach the hole.

Face-balanced heads allow the putter head to naturally find its center (square its face) at impact.

The diamond-cut face pattern optimizes the golf ball's roll and imparts a soft feel directly following impact

The "Surround Sight" semi-circle alignment aid - exclusive to the Heavy Putter™ - located directly behind the face, promotes consistency on center hits. This results in a tighter deviation of impact on the sweet spot versus a traditional putter with a line or dot alignment mark.

The unique channel formed between the heel and toe weights on both blade and mallet putters promote a visual track to the target.
