The Heavy Irons feature heavier-than-average heads (by 8 grams) and shorter-than-standard shafts (by 0.25 inches). There's also a 50-gram plug in the grip end of the shaft (this is referred to as "backweighting") that raises the club's balance point by three inches. According to company owner Steve Boccieri, these design concepts help you siwng with greater control and make more consistent contact. Company research reveals that the majority of golfers tested also increased their clubhead speed.
